My MS Outlook has frozen ... it opensm but am unable to read any of the messages. It simply lists the e-mails in the left pane, and in the right pane is a blank space (i.e. not displaying the message) and the little hourglass appears.

Any way of resolving ? Cause of problem ?

Thanks

Close it and re-open see if it helps.

Also check your PST file sizes. If they get too big and goes corrupt it usually causes your outlook to freeze.

I take it you're not connected to a network.

You have no viruses.

Think the size limit for Outlook experss is 2 gigs, not sure about Outlook.
But, you'll get some sort of cryptic message for that.

Also could be your slow internet connection.

check if WINWORD is not open and causing outlook to freeze. Try ending the winword process and then outlook and retry.

I just had a laptop freeze on outlook, it was caused from the battery being on 0% and no external power. Plug in power and all's good.

Restart and try again. It may be scanning your PST if you did not shutdown correctly, and that will be slow....
