Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get the TPM2 for my MSI B450M-A PRO MAX II motherboard?

Awhile back a saw Wootware had - but get a "Nothing Found" on searching with my mother board name.

Ooooops!!

Seaching on MSI TPM2 I got the following:

MSI MS-4462 TPM 2.0 Module

MSI MS-4136 TPM 2.0 Module

It would appear either of these would work with my motherboard - so the question is which is the better or correct module to buy?

Thanks

Your board should support the LPC (low pin count) connector - so the MS-4136 would be the correct one.

As long as your CPU supports SSE4.2 and POPCNT CPU instructions, you can run Windows 24H2. This requirement might change with 25H2, which is now happening. No, Windows 12 at this time.

The standard workaround still works.

This media creation tool still works to do updates.

Though it's outdated, you can manually change the URLs. MS themselves have also altered some URLs. They are clamping down on bypassing methods. PS. I don't have the latest URLs, but you can track it with Windows's own media creation tool.

I had Windows 11 23H2 running on an E8400 without any issue. It runs better on Linux. I had both an i5-4460 and i7-4790 running 24H2. All updates work, all drivers work.
