MTN launches Huawei load-shedding backup power system contracts

MTN has partnered with Huawei and Verteco to offer Huawei's Power-M load-shedding backup systems, with prices starting at R1,699 per month over five years.

The backup systems are available with three levels of energy storage — 5kWh, 10kWh, and 15kWh — and all three variants are combined with a 5kW inverter.

sad to see this is what Saffers are spending money on,
not Cars, Boats, overseas Vacations, instead Generators and solar to keep the lights on when the ANC has failed SA

5kW inverter + 15kWh battery capacity = R188k (with installation)

For that price you can get 8kW inverter + 10kWh battery + 4.5kW panels

But I guess SME's don't always have the cash upfront, and I suppose many business's might not own the shop so would need approval for panels (if it's even a possibility)

Get your electrician to install, rather than a dedicated solar installer. Might be a regional thing.
My electrician did install. It also depends from installation to installation. DB board setup and all the materials could run into thousands. And then there is also the COC.
