MTN billing problems

Still waiting for an Itemized bill from April... They cannot provide it, yet I needed to pay 3 times my normal amount? Sorry MTN, but your systems are not yet sorted out. I cannot wait for February so I can get rid of MTN once and for all.

I think there is a serious disconnect between management/PR and operations which MTN needs to get to the bottom of.

ROFL - they STILL have billing issues? Its been over a year now hasn't it?

Smoke and Mirrors! I think they are feeling the effect of "customers" leaving by the 1000`s because of their nonstop *****! Now they shove some PR bull out there to “assure" those they haven’t screwed over yet!

Yeah, so MTN's billing mistake yet they keep our money for a month. Not really good enough, not?

Being suspended on my billing day before even having been notified that I supposedly owe them a very small amount is not what I call being treated with respect.
The call centre claimed I did not pay what the invoice said. I went back to look at all invoices. There was never a 30 days overdue amount (since I cancelled the debit order and manually pay each month) and I always paid the amount on the invoice. So, yes there was a glitch and I suddenly got suspended because... well, not really sure why other than they wanted to steal some money and leave me without an invoice for it.

MTN is hopeless. Was double billed in jan & feb. Call centre is hopeless: "We will lodge a complaint against out billing department and get back to you". Its june and still not sorted.
Will cancel my contract as soon as its over.

MTN fail.

Hey Eddie - please resign!!!

You and your entire MTN "customer service" team should resign. So far it has taken me 3 months to transfer 2 lines onto my name. The could not give a cr@p attitude from MTN is beyonf belief. Also, please fire Lolantha Visagie and N Bailey. You pay them for doing absolutely nothing!!!

And you do not even have any complaints department!!!
Please resign now!!!

Damage is done! Fact of the matter is that many corporates have given up with MTN and are migrating at least some of their contracts over to Vodacom!!

Hence the reason I'm on prepaid on V/com after MTN mucked me about with my billing a number of times, it only took them six months after I left to sort out me being billing for a dual call number after it was terminated.

Problem is I don't get my calls on Vodacom, straight to voicemail... and I hear the same from other Vodacom customers...

D

Yeah, they are sending out Invoices that are not even SARS compliant - I have an idea....

December 09: Bill Double (Outstanding R4000)
January 10: Bill Double (Outstanding R8000)
February 10: Bill Double... (Outstanding R14000)
March10: Resolved R6000 worth of double billing
April 10: Argues that I spent R8000 too much on Data in September 09, even though I have proof I called 2580 at the end of the month.
May 10: Cuts Service till I argue with them
June 10: MTN phones to tell me I must pay IMMEDIATELY
I hate MTN! I think I should get a lawyer.

I still "owe" them R20k and they have not been able to prove it in the format I've asked them to.

Months ago I got an letter saying that the data charge "lag" had caused accounts to reflect charges for a period of months prior all in one go. I've continually queried this and alll I got was an SMS saying something along the lines of "Your query has been resolved and all charges are valid. Please make arrangements to pay".

I've since not had any communication from them. They've frozen the debit order and that's about it. My monthly charges have stabilised, but they are never debited from my bank account.

Yip, I've got a R25000 bill from December/January that I am still trying to resolve. MTN gave me a credit of roughly R1000 (yip, that's a 1 with 3 zeros) and basically has told me since then to get stuffed. I logged a complaint with ICASA (yes I know, but I have exhausted all other avenues) so am waiting to see what the response to this is. I'm not holding my breath though. Any other ideas?
