MTN BIS so slow now....

it seems BIS rules have changed. browsing i impossible for about 3 weeks now. i used to get decent speeds on my 8520. not heavy browsing. just this forum and a few others. but now i cant even load a page from this forum. most times the browser even refuses to load that blackberry homepage.

is it only me or is other people experiencing the same? slowly but surely being pushed into another daily phone, even though i like the blackberry setup.
 
I've also noticed this, and it seems to be worse at night, when I'm assuming more people use their phones.
 
For me it has been fine but since 6pm this evening taken ages to send messages. Maybe just a BB prob?? Generally its cool though
 
Spoke to estelle at mtn 173 helpdesk, who informed me that mtn is waiting for a solution from rim.
Anybody know what the details of the problem are?
 
Welcome to the club. Vodacom BB users have been feeling this pain for quite a long time now. Pointless BIS is pointless.

Check THIS thread...should demystify things for you.

My downolading speed is also slow, does not matter wether its 3G or not and thy also chowing my airtme for just browsing. I called mtn and asked wats going on nd thy told me downloading is no longer free...... Thy ddnt even inform us about this, why are thy misleading us nd telling us thAt the R60 bis offers everything. Which network still offers good service?

Apparently 8ta BIS is pretty good.
 
I'm just gonna change phones. Cancel bis and move on. Gonna miss the chats though :(
