Is it me, or are the Black friday Sim+Phone options just rubbish? I really dont want any of those phones. 2016 I took an iphone! Was hoping I could at least get the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

What's the requirement to get one of those business BF deals? Would they possibly bend the rules and let the man off the street get one?

Just called MTN Direct and was told if I upgrade my 2016 BF deal to the R469 100+100gb, I can't bolt on any minutes, which makes this deal useless in my phone. Has anyone managed to bolt on minutes to this deal or how are we supposed to make calls?

And just to confim, I was also told that only the 50gb standard data can only be shared. 50gb night and the 100gb promotional cannot be shared.

Did my upgrade on the 17th in store, still haven't received my +30GB promo data and +30GB night express. Any idea what I should do?

It's the normal 20GB + 20GB for R149.

I just asked him to bolt on the 100 minutes monthly, which is an additional R136.

Was an upgrade from the 2016 BF...
Can you maybe share his details? Did you take out a device with it? I went to an MTN store and they said to me that I can’t take out a new device with the BF deals. It’s sim only deals so it’s means I would have 2 numbers. Bye bye MTN if that’s the case.

I have the same problem on 1 of my sims - upgraded on the 12th of November.

I am waiting for the store consultant to come back to me with feedback

Sim only. His email address was shared earlier in the thread...

Just upgraded at MTN Centurion Mall. Went with the 60 + 60 GB deal (R299) plus 50 minutes (R70) bolt on for a total of R369. I'm content!

The mtn black friday offers for sim only data this year are an absolute marketing gimmick. You could pick up these deals before blackfriday for around the same price.
