So are the R99 and R149 deals the same (apart from the cost, obviously), or does the R99 one have less data?
IIRC the R149 deal is 10GB + 10GB night + promo 10GB + promo 10GB night (so effectively 20GB + 20GB night)
The deal code is the same as the R149 deal -- 2018565 BF3
But the call agent at the normal upgrades told me I couldn't get the 20GB + 20GB night effective at the normal upgrade line, since my 2016BF didn't "qualify" for it.
Then when I phoned retentions I was told there's a 10GB + 10GB night available for R99, also a My MTNChoice (meaning you can load your own voice bundles separately). I then took this deal and while I was waiting for everything to go through, I persuaded her to give me the deal-ID. Lo and behold, same deal ID.
She was utterly confused about the "normal" deals versus the "retention deals" so she couldn't really explain to me why it was the same deal ID but different than the one out there.
So the main question is -- do I get 20GB or 10GB?
On the Mtn Contract page it shows as "(C_6) 24MTH MTNCHOICE 10GB". I got allocated:
- 5.33GB night express data
- between 5 - 10GB internet bundle (monthly) -- not sure how much of this is still from the old BF2016 contract though
- 2.5GB "promotional data"
And I still have 48.52GB from the "Upgrade promotion data" from the 50GB BF contract. So it might be more than 20...
