MTN Black Friday Discussions

How long did it take them? From the time they acknowledged your issue to the time it reflected on the app?

The email I got now from a bloke named Billie-Jean said that it is a "general technicalissue and there will be a mass fix done. The excess amount should be removed from your profile by Monday"
Got the same email. My app started showing the correct bill at the start thingie, the bill that goes up every day. It's still wrong under outstanding and says R4970 by the November invoice.

I did phone them first thing last Thursday.

6.) R299 - 150gb anytime data of which 75gb is shareable, 150gb night owl of which 75gb is shareable Product Code: 2020991 CT 00015 BF

Is this deal a 24 month or 36 month contract.
Also the 499 deal is that 24 or 36 months

36 month, but sim only can be cancelled with 2 months penalties payable...

Sorted out same day after emailing Jacqui. The rapid response unit replied.

Billie jean is pretty awesome and generally handles all the issues I had in the last few months that normal channels couldnt sort out.So guys dealing with her is in safe hands, she does have a full plate so replies might on the slow side but generally gets things done.

150gb + 150gb for R299 is a nice healthy bump up from the 60 + 60 for R299!

May even go for the 500gb for R499 if that materializes but I'm not sure I can even use 150gb a month.

I'm assuming all the base anytime data on these contracts will rollover as they have been doing?

Thanks mate. Remember you helping us out in 2018 too with the "hidden" BF deals then.
I see these are for business. Have you got any for non business.
Haven't received leaks yet. Will post as i get.
Best not to rush to sign up. See what comes out and then decide on Tuesday 24th what to choose.

When I enquired about the 150+150 for R299 I was told that it’s a “made for home” deal and only available in store. Not sure if it’s a fixed LTE Deal or the agent was just mistaken. Took the 500+500 instead.

If anyone else finds out within the next 10 days whether it’s fixed lte or not, I might cancel and take the 150+150 instead.

Quick question.

Does the price change? Example you buy a promo/black Friday deal for like R500

Will the price remain the same over the years of the contract.

500 gb + 500 gb product code 2020991 CT 00024 BF
00025 is a iPhone 11 deal
Wow, and here I was set on cancelling in the next week and MTN does this. Today, I think I will lock in this offer if it is available to me (BF2016), else I see there is also talk of 150GB+150Gb for the same R299 I am paying for my current 60GB+60GB. As noted by I.am.Sam, we should have a 10day cooling period in which to cancel or choose a more preferred option should something else come up during black friday week. I would suggest those who are interested in the 500GB offer also lock it in as there might be limited slots available like some of the offerings I remember from the BF2018 period.

The new CEO probably doesn't want to start his term by losing a whole bulk of customers so instead captchas us for another 2 or 3 years by offering these ridiculous packages. The fact that 1TB of data can be offered for basically 50c/GB shows how much these ISP's are really coining it.

I would assume so. If you enter into a contract at X amount, then that is the amount you will pay for the duration of the contract unless it is explicitly mentioned in that contract, or atleast until the last month of the contract where a balls up with accounting happens and you get a +R1000 bill instead of the usual R299 (hopefully that gets fixed soon).
