My wife. For two months. We are on same package. MTN Claims her contract expired in 2022 .have no other proof that is was renewed.

Anyone had their minutes/calls bundles not loading for July on the BF deals?

Yup, same thing happened to one of my numbers. Call centre claims that the minute bundle expired in July. Now I need to prove again that this was a retention deal.

I thought they did, but can't find a trace. Including for my own contract . I would not have deleted it.

It's actually crazy how MTN call centre claims it was never renewed and yet if they would bother to look at history on the account they would see the extra minutes etc being added. In fact just writing this has given me an idea. They Normally send an SMS saying extra minutes are loaded .hopefully my wife has an SMS still on her phone.
 
also having issues...albeit on an expired contract...so i get an sms saying all promo data is coming to an end...i think doesnt affect me since i wouldn't sign up for a promo only data contract...fast forward to loading day...no data...then the circus started...

turns out they rebadged my data to 'promo' 5 months after my upgrade and that's why they could drop it now...but they left the night owl promo data there for some reason...seems like raising prices annually is not enough for them...they screwing up contracts as well...

they still load the other part of the contract...just the data bothers them it seems...

so now we wait on a resolution...

They do typically call all the "extras" on a contract as promo that fall away when it expires.
The base contract will then only remain.

the invoice changed...they offered me anytime data...that's what i asked repeatedly...the earlier invoice even has the deal code which also says anytime data...they changed it to anytime promo...

but im hoping to get some decent deals from retentions...if decent deals still exist...
 
Just received a notification to say my 24month BF deal from 2022 will expire in Nov and all promo rates will be removed and normal billing will resume unless I upgrade... Anyone have the number for Retentions?

This was a special deal so you can
a) upgrade x 24 and pay R30 more or x36 for R20 less for the same deal
b) cancel contract provided its 30 days notice before contract expires else it will become a Month to Month contract and all promo rates will be removed however you wont get access to any special deals if there are any BF deals

Honestly, this feels like extortion. I'd cancel. There will probably better BF deals out there with other providers.

I suppose it does however I was just told if I do upgrade and there are better deals when BF arrives I can change it but that could also be Sales tactics to lock you in..
