Listed as follows:

My MTNChoice Talk+ S R 218.43
Total excluding VAT R 218.43
VAT AT 14% R 30.58
Total R 249.01

I still don't see where the R149 fits in....

Unless they've billed R149 +R100 for connection.

They bill 1 month in advance, possible the R100 for last month and R149 for next month?

No, it is your unbilled invoice before allowed discounts .


If you look in your MTN Active pages under My Account you will find your Contract details.
Under package description you find that a R100 discount is applicable + the 50Gb data allowance.
On the final bill you get the discount.
My details as an example is shown below.

Tariff plan: S_1
Tariff description : MY MTNCHOICE TALK+ S
Package description: R100 DIS+(LTE)24
Bill limit value: R 0.00
Subscriber created date: 2016-12-14
Contract termination date: 2018-12-13

I think what he's alluding to is that you pay pro-rata in arrears for the first month and then in advance for the second month.

Was at lower cable way station yesterday and got a ping of 21ms with 61Mb down and 13Mb up.
Yes, am burning a fair bit of data, but who cares :-)
 
has anybody else experienced issues to connect to the MTN active / mycontract.mtn.co.za websitt ( via the sim cards)

i tried both phones/ sim cards, and they just refuse to connect. Even the MyMTN app is giving connectivity issues. :(

Not on my side, all's working well with sim in computer.
 
Has anyone here been debited (per debit order) yet, or will the first sub only go through in January?
 
So went to an MTN store, my secondary sim shows up on their systems. They don't understand why the sim is not showing despite the sim showing as active on their side. Weird! Anyone else's sim that is activated yet?
