MTN Black Friday Discussions

So I was told by a friend that a different MTN store in Beacon Bay was more friendly regarding the table/list of deals.

I just came back from that store and a very friendly lady said she can make any deal in the table happen for any 2016 Black Friday sim upgrade. I just signed up as follows:

1 sim = 20+10 @ R149pm
1 sim = 60 + 30 @R299pm

She said she should have approval by late afternoon today. I will post again if it goes through.

Can you link the post with the table? I cannot seem to find it.

I just phoned MTN and was told I need to have received the email to get any of the offers. Have never received an email from MTN.

Is it possible to buy multiple bundles of mtn all net 20 minutes at the beginning of the month on a MTN my choice or does one need to deplete it first before re-buying it?

Is it valid until finished or only for a day?

For reference I can buy 5 × 20 for R50 but if I were to buy a 100 minute bundle it would be R135

the bundles of 20mins most probably last 7days

The store I went to showed me 3 offers made for me on their computer.

There was 10gb for R149, nothing extra.

3gb + minutes and smses for R299

And another that was more expensive, I didn't pay much attention to the other offers cause I won't go for more than the R149 deal.

Guy there said those offers will be available to me till month end so advised I rather wait for black Friday. Said rather avoid signing for anything before then, felt like he knew something. My guess is that table posted here will be the black Friday deals for everyone.

Yeah hopefully that table will be the deals

and i think they want guys to sign up before black fridays so they score by giving us krappier deals
That's exactly what he said to me and the customer before me which was a bit strange, said headoffice wants to tie clients into any deal they can before black Friday.

That doesn't necessarily mean something better will come up it could just be they fear what competitors will have on the day?

It would literally be the worst marketing campaign if they were to shaft all the 2016 BF users with crap deals now. There would be such a backfire! Im interested in doing this data share thing with one of the big data contracts. Moving my wife over from Vodacom to MTN.

This I agree with 100%

Oh that's another element of the promo which needs clarification. Data share!! None of the promotional data on the 50gb BF deals was available for data share.

They will instantly lose me as a customer of 18 years...

Are these Black Friday Deals topup versions or open contracts?

I would be too afraid to sign up for an open contract.

Boom! Got the R149pm done on my sim - main 10GB data is pro-rata'ed, there is also 10GB night data allocated as well. The extra 10GB BF data will be added in the next 10 days as per their T's and C's

So 10+10 and an extra 10gb promotional data
Yes, correct.

They are busy on the other sim at the moment - will update when it has its data.

UPDATE: I just got the +10GB anytime BF data on my first sim so I have 10GB BF + 8GB pro-rata = 18GB +10GB Night

Just got a call back from MTN, finally confirmed the mtn choice 10 deal for me, consisting of 20gb anytime and 10 night time. Can take it right now, available till black Friday.

He'll be calling me on that Friday morning but I don't expect anyone will offer anything better.

Is that true? My brother was using data share with his 2016BF 50gb promo with his wife on a pay as you go simcard.
