How often do networks have similar deals? Cell C have pathetic coverage and Telkom works well only in certain areas. Vodacom and MTN are the only two networks with decent coverage across the country and I dont see vodacom offering anything cheaper.
 
Well MTN have now shown their Black Friday hand by the sms mess up today.

The deals in the yellow table from last week are as good as its going to get.

And, I'll stick my neck out and say no other network will beat this year's MTN deals. If I am proven wrong, I'll admit it and be stuck in a 2year R149pm 20GB contract as punishment.

Back to my popcorn. Oh wait, I'm banting. Biltong......
 
So as it is now the R299 deal is 30 + 30gb anytime + 30gb night surfer?

Well a slightly different comparison will be Rain. I've done over 200GB this month alone for R250. Suits me perfectly wherever I am, home or work. Nice to watch cricket at work when the boss is not around
 
so 60gb + 60gb for 299
or 100gb + 100gb for r469

still think we getting better BF deals ?

The 299 works for me but would have sweeter with that extra 30gb

Rain is cheaper but most people here use peak data and rain wil screw you over

One soccer game is around 2gb on dstv now ..with rain thats R200
 
I didn't get the Black Friday deal 2 years ago. What's my best chances of getting one of the deals mentioned here? Contact the call centre or go to a MTN store?

They don't really want to offer a top special otherwise they would advertise early. Limited specials for a limited period. Instead of you going meh today (Vodacom) Telkom and MTN are milking the anticipation.

Meh or a rushed decision on Friday on these deals.

Really speaking you should compare the 30 package as you get 60GB day and 60GB Night for R299. Your 100 min bolt on is like R135 so ya its jumped from R149 to like R435 realistically (ignoring 10k mtn to mtn mins lost there and 10gb gained here)


Edit: I ignore night data in my head hence my reasoning above
EDit2: 200 mins is R270 bolt on if anyone cares. Can just not add mins if you after the data. Then its only gone up to R299 for you

I think my point was that the original BF deal is identical to the new R549 one.

Apparently a full 30 days from the day you receive the SMS




Also all o' ya'll should phone MTN cos each number is entitled to different packages only.

I for instance cannot take the 20+20 package for R149
I however CAN get 300 mins with the 52 gb for R549 .
