MTN Black Friday Discussions

Mine has New before the 50 GB, but the upgrade date shows upgraded on 21/11/22 and the new update date as 21/01/23, wtf.
Yeah, it must just be a monthly package thing (the upgrade date may just update monthly to the following month), but that's just an assumption
 
Just realised my 50gb a month bf2020 has ended... do i need to do anything? Ideally would like to continue.... can't get thru to upgrades or retentions. Any advice?

They bombard you with phone calls and SMSs months before it expires. Did you not get any of those? Regardless, I think you have lost the opportunity to get a good deal. The BF deals for this year are closed ..

Give retentions a call and see what they offer

Confusing. I was verbally given the 199 deal for 50gb, basically what I had. Package is called 'made for business data L - 20gb' and expiry is 2 years... will see what happens on the debit order. 50gb was allocated, and a bunch of promo data
 
My last bill was more than usual. They did not discount a certain portion as per previous months. Last time I renewed on a 36 month contract. Any idea who to contact to query this?
 
I was told i was going to get 50gb and 125 mins per month for R199.00... Got the allocation 2 days ago for 50gb and 25 mins. Did anyone else get this wrong minute allocation...

They charged me double the amount of my two renewed BF contracts on 12 Jan 23, and they can't give me a reason.

Looks like something is very much not well at MTN.

I've been trying to sort my contract upgrade that was done on Dec 1st for the last 3 weeks+ and after many many hours on the phone and emails and Twitter and and and.. all I have to show is a big fat ZERO.

No one replies to emails, no one returns calls, the supervisors in charge are always busy and wonn't take your calls. Absolutely zero accountability, it seems it's a complete free for all so their call centre staff don't give a single fk because no one is looking over their shoulder.
 
My billing runs on the 12th and I just checked on the MTN app and guess what I'm still getting billed the incorrect amount and receiving the incorrect data allocation. The app on iOS has also been broken for the last few months and you can't view the full break down on the data page.
 
Anyone else with very slow upload speeds? Ranging around 0.8mbps. Download is fine, over 30mbps. Has been this way for weeks.

This is still ongoing, the agent that's supposed to be helping me is a total pos.

But I can see what the problem is, Retentions is an outside business run by a company called Ignition.

So the agents do not give two fks once they have signed the deal, job done comms earned cheers not my problem.
