To add insult to injury, since I upgraded last week on Tuesday (to try to prevent the massive bill), I now can't take any BF deal since the new month-to-month has to be active for at least 2 months before being able to switch to a contract.
yea i agree, its the best so far100gig shareable is decent
Well it's not a black Friday deal so the price is rubbish so didn't include it.Price is the second most important detail
Is this a retentions only deal?202310ESS1005 310gigs anytime R299 x 24

If that's for 400GB anytime data Its not to bad.I'm on the BF 2020 My MTNChoice 400.
I asked the person the send me the deal details via email, does this sound right?
"Good day as per our telephonic discussion the package consist of 200GB anytime data and you will also receive the below.
So it will be 400GB in total."

I did not receive a deal code...
Any small contracts to downgrade too? Might just go with the 310 for R299 and half my data bill with MTN via a downgrade + data-share
Via Retentions? Will have to call tomorrow.
Thank you
Thanks for the info. Maybe I should phone them again and try to explain. Just thinking about it gives me a headache. But oh well, let me grab a Grandpa and queue the hold musicI'm in the same boat except the lady helping me (Hlonolofatso) says concession has been made to accommodate subscribers who took a month to month. Something to do with BF's promo's running a week later this year, compared with previous years, thus creating a situation where numerous subscribers upgraded to month to month to avoid huge bills and in so doing, ruled themselves out of contention for BF contracts due to the cancellation period on month to month deals.
EDIT: Oh, I've taken a 200gb/R299 promo, the caveat is that it is 18 months, nothing else. Very frustrating as I will be outside the BF upgrade window in 2025.. There will be the option to upgrade early in 2024 on BF, where early migration fees apply... sim only so shouldn't be steep...
I managed to cancel my phone contract after using the escalation channel. I'm now only upgrading my uncapped internet with them, but that is through MTN Direct only.Correct, The Ignition Group and they are as useless and deceitful as they come, step very carefully around retentions upgrades and while you are on the call confirm the details of everything verbally with the consultant, repeat it back to them, so if they stuff it up they can pull the call and you have proof of whatever was claimed.
can you please provide the link to the 300Gb dealif you want data and can deal with 300gigs its a good price
if you want mins and data for your phone there is few contracts for around R100 a month
can you please provide the link to the 300Gb deal
Retentions says that this deal (202310ESS1005) doesn't exist... They double checked multiple times.
