Guys I was also on the 500day and night deal just upgraded to the 400gb anytime data for 399 for 18months. received my pro rata data and as things stand it shows I can share 132gb so the 50gb limit is not yet implemented (hoping it wont) I had no previous data remaining. My contract shows it is due for upgrade March 2025 and expires October 2025, 1 month before black Friday,then I jst move to a month to month till blackfriday.

I have forwarded my email of 19 November 2020 (three years and one day later) to Jacki O’Sullivan (and who ever answered me at the time) and pointed out that the exact same thing has happened again, so they are pulling the same dirty tricks.

Update on my situation:

Finally got someone knowledge and helpful at retentions that was able to assist. He offered me quite a few options for data only, but very similar to what has been posted here (nothing special).

I then realized that I could actually do with minutes (I keep loading airtime for calls), and settled on a 24 month contract (so I can do BF again). It's 52GB anytime data p/m (2 month rollover), and 100 minutes (all network, 2 month rollover) for R256 per month.

The contract in my app shows it's a Mega Gigs XS, but it's obviously heavily customized if you look at the standard one:

It's R111 more a month, but 50GB more data, and 75 extra minutes.

Edit: I still have to pay the R1818 bill from previous 36 month expired BF contract, nothing he could do about that. But he could immediately switch over my brand new month-to-month, without any penalties (technically I had to wait until Jan to be able to upgrade)°

Okay so I upgraded at the beginning of this week to the following deal

R213 51gb data anytime and 100 minutes
Today MTN retentions calls and offers:

Mobile internet gold - R149
Deal code: Operator didn't want to share it
60gb data anytime - 200 minutes anytime @24 months

I asked what's the fee to upgrade, he said R232 once off. So I upgraded the upgrade lol

Please check when they send you the documents what the deal ID is. Same line as where your phone number is

Currently on 15Gb + 500 All Net @ R156.08, and they can't offer anything close to it. Gave the option of
10GB + 500 All Net @ R299.00

Will try upgrade division

Did you have a deal code for that 10Gb plus 500 All net mins?
 
For the mobile Internet diamond package which has 400GB, can anyone confirm how much can be data shared and also is it being offered on 24 months or only 18
