My contract has also terminated based on a 2023 black friday deal. MTN are offering me an upgrade (100GB for R329 - 24 month contract sim only). Does anyone know if its possible to upgrade this on black friday to a device contract? The call centre says its possible at a "standard upgrade fee" but cannot disclose the amount of that fee.

That's not really a great deal. On the MTN MoMo app you can get a prepaid 100+100 GByte bundle at R349.

I also want to be eligible for an upgrade though retentions for black friday, hence my thought process of taking up an offer from them
