Wondering if anyone has a contact at MTN that can assist me with an issue I'm having.
In the early morning of the 27th of November this year, I went onto MTN's website and placed an order for their once off R499 cash deal (which included a Hisense H200M LTE router and a SIM card with 1 gig day + 1 gig night (every month for 24 months) and 26 gigs worth of various bundles (valid for 1 month). I received the SIM card and router on the 3rd of December and then spent the next 5 days waiting for the SIM card to become active (which it only did after I went to my local MTN store to RICA it even though the delivery driver was said to be doing the RICA process for me as he asked for a proof of residence and a copy of my ID).
After that whole issue, the SIM is finally active. Hooray, right? Well, not exactly. The SIM is active and I can browse the net with it if I add data to it but none of the data I paid for has reflected on the SIM. I have been back and forth with MTN on Twitter, through several people at their call centre and via email with no valid response as to where my data is or why I paid them R500 for a router and SIM that isn't remotely close to what they advertised.
Every time I phone the call centre, I just get bounced around between departments all asking for the same details and once they get my details they say that they cannot help me.
Is anyone able to provide a contact for a higher up within MTN that can resolve this issue? I cannot understand what the hold up is as I signed a contact with them a year ago and that became active less than 3 hours after I received the SIM. It took 5 days alone (and much hard work) just to get this SIM activated and now it doesn't have any of the data on it that I paid for.
