MTN Blackberry Contract

I have an MTN blackberry contract, with BIS included (obviously), the contract is due to end in April next year. I want to use this SIM in another phone, not Blackberry. Is it possible to convert the BIS portion to a Data bundle for the remaining the duration of the contract?

MTN store in Cresta says no, I'm just checking here, if that indeed is correct.

No you can't. BIS is not data bundles but a different service offered only to BB users. You can use the sim on another phone but you will need to purchase data bundles separately

Not until the BB contract is over.

You can change your contract from the BB/BIS package to another package (depending on what you qualify for) and keep your number. Cresta MTN store should have suggested this!
