So just got this sms

The applicable carry over rules on your price plan will be amended with effect from 1 August 2016. Please click http://goo.gl/aY0aiv for more info. T&C Apply.

But the link doesn't work. Anyone know anymore about this?

So to remain competitive they're hiking call rates? :wtf:

And dropping 3 months of rollover ( five down to two. ).

Also if I read it correctly, prepaid is actually cheaper? 79c/min verses R1.40? WTF?

Depends on the wording, if the contract is bundled minutes then no, you are only penalized for calls out of bundle but if it's a rand value contract, then effectively yes.

You can see what they are doing by checking the cached page.
And yes...they are screwing us good and proper. Couldn't paste the pricing tables here, but they are really, really nailing their customers to try and make us pay for their Nigerian fine.
So F.U. MTN! after 15 years, I am changing on Monday. Maybe I'll even pay more, but don't care.

In accordance with the terms and conditions of MTN’s post-paid subscriber agreement MTN has given its customers sufficient notice in line with the requirements set out in the Consumer Protection Act prior to effecting the changes. Similarly prepaid customers have also been given notice as required. For more information, please visit www.mtn.co.za

You can now only carry over double the amount of airtime. So in theory at the start of the billing cycle you can have a maximum of 300% of your contracted airtime instead of 600%
