MTN changing their contracts!

Anyone know what phones are offered with these packages?

It's all about the phone! :D

No other network in the world charges you one flat rate for on net and off net calls ;)

Because it's dumb. Who wants to get over charged for on net calls?

On net calls are supposed to be cheaper.

The only easy thing about this is that mtn is robbing us blind.

Well what about the on net calls.??? huh??

Well what about the on net calls.??? huh??

MTN is a business and there to make money and make the investors happy.

Now what they did was realise that people don't just phone MTN numbers. Thus a balance was reached between on net and off net. An Average if you want to call it that. I think someone mentioned it a little earlier in one of the threads already ;)

mmmm, I know its a business that's why we always k@k en betaal , lol

Id just like to know if MTN (as a business) have ever discussed the need that the consumer needs/wants cheaper call rates? Will a company actually reduce their call rates.... sometime in my life time???

Who knows, they might.

Lets think about it this way round. When last did you say cellphone rates increase ? Everything else has ;)

Do you cry or laugh when you think of Telkom?

Packages looks fine.

I have 3 Procall 120 contracts and 2 MyCall 100 contracts.

How will it benefit me if I change to the new packages now if you look at the following figures and to what packages should I change? According to MTN you can change to a different packages within your 24 months if the amount is not significant higher or lower.

Contract 1: Procall 120 - R407 per month (Includes 500SMS Bundle = R114)
Contract 2: Procall 120 - R443 per month (Includes 500SMS Bundle = R114)
Contract 3: Procall 120 - R409 per month
Contract 4: MyCall 100 - R160 per month
Contract 5: MyCall 100 - R120 per month

And where is the UNLIMITED SMS's MTN??? Seems like Virgin Mobile is still in the lead with that.

To make me happy they should have just added data rollover so everyone else can follow.

nice system in your sig piesang, making me and my socket 478 P4 so jelous, remind me to come to your yard sale :D

Their chief of marketing told us that they are working on it, and it should be ready in 5 months time.

They will probably have to use a Large Hadron Collider to calculate the algorithm to deploy data rollover, so it is justified.

Lol, working on it - ready in 5 months. You'd think they have to lay cables and put up towers to do this.

I personally don't think it's going to happen anytime soon, but it's not impossible. I should have recorded the presentation, because right now I can't confirm if he said 5 months or he just said that they are working on it.

Must get a memory check.

I would just like to know.... The new MTN contacts are prepaid rates on contract so how do you explain that?

We have just hit a brick wall with MTN wanting to upgrade, and if it is not resolved tomorrow I'm canceling all my contracts with MTN.

My wife had a MyCall 100, now the equivalent of this is it seems the Anytime 200 package. But here is the catch, if she wants to downgrade to a cheaper option, like the Anytime 100 package to pay the same amount more or less she is now, she must fork out an initial R400-00!!!!! So either take a hit on the bill from R90-00 pm to R200-00 pm or fork out R400-00. What in the hell!!!!

This is robbery and I will not stand for this! She has had this contract for over 8 years but this is it, if they want to play dirty, there is allot of other players in the fields and I'll take all my business away from them. Our total accumulated phone expenditure is going to double by this, no way I'm standing for this.

I'm heading over to MTN myself just now to clarify this, if this is indeed the case then there is only one thing to do.

It has been confirmed.
If you are a MyCall 100 subscriber, then you can "upgrade" to Anytime 200 with no additional charge, but if you would like to take a cheaper option you have to pay an extortion price, in our case between R300 and R400!!!!!!!

So, go from R80 odd a month to R200-00, or pay us an extortion price an we will let you take an Anytime 100 package...

Also, go work out the detail, you pay a heck of a lot more for allot less! R200 for R200 airtime, that works out around 85 minutes. What the hell happened to R130 and 100 minutes FREE???? So they now charge you for your previous "free minutes".

I have had it, sorry, but this will NOT fly, taking my business some place else.
