MTN changing their contracts!

Time will tell if this will be better for users. I moved to MTN from Virgin because with the way I was using my cellphone MTN is cheaper...

i also saw it the other day, i like the whole idea of possibly free sms's because thats where my money goes :( , and my contract is renewable at the moment with MTN woot woot :)

Somehow I doubt its very new if people are comparing it to VirginM and there are many packages around the world that we know nothing of... so yeah... But if MTN does actually do something new - then kudos. If not... Lets just hope the prices come down somewhat :)

It's not anything new. It's a top up contract with a lower price.

Why are you guys blind to it?
 
Uncapped data FTW... or at least a large affordable data bundle (10GB+) - one can dream :)

Aside from that I can't see how they can do anything new and unheard of (at least for mobile networks).

All the networks have 2 change their billing patterns under Icasa's regulations ?

The Cell cartels have also agreed on a FREE sms's with Contracts depending on Value of Contract !

Just like they agreed on the 100 off-peak FREE Minutes on Contract options ( off-peak interconnection rate 79c per minute )

how do u get contracts 4 less than R79 per month and a free phone if the network has to pay interconnection rates of 79c per minute. ( CARTELISATION )

This is part of my case against the cell-operators with competition commission !

MTN-VODACOM-CELL C-VIRGIN

Wont be dropping call rates so dont get excited for that however NEOTEL is causing a rift in the data segment if they offer USB data modems we will see overnight price reductions in data from all providers. If u want lower data charges demand a USB cdma modem from NEOTEL !

I don't know but I get the feeling that MTN is going to come up with some kind of trick again. Just like the 2Gig 3 month 3G special... and then Vodacom just made it permanent and MTN had no choice but to follow....
 
Maybe it is double play? A contract with "free" minutes and Megabytes (Gigabytes \holding thumbs).

It will probably be announced on this forum before the papers.

The maths done, and the new packages does save you money ;) You might not be able to see it now, but I think a nice usage report done by yourself then check what it would have been like if you had the new package. You will be amazed.

But I'm not here to tell you guys take it or not, I am saying look a little deeper.

No other network in the world charges you one flat rate for on net and off net calls ;)
