A colleague received a call from a very forceful MTN guy wanting her to take up a credit card from MTN. He became very rude towards the end.

Wouldn't be surprised, if you've got an MTN contract you're already approved for credit so it'd be fairly easy for them to do.

Yes, offered me an outrageous credit limit based on what I said I earn but didnt ask for proof of income.

The government gave the banks/credit suppliers and ultimatum. I know that from next year they will not be allowed to call you regarding credit cards. That is why banks like Nedbank seem to have gone crazy with supplying credit and loans. They have ads all over the place.

shame i can see many people getting into big trouble with all the new credit cards being offered

That loyalty program died when MTN withdrew from Voyager. The new MTN Titanium card was released recently and is issued by Standard Bank, the bank behind MTN Banking.

That's not good, can you maybe pop me a PM with the details e.g. the guy's name if you can, but have forwarded this to the Manager in charge of this as that's not on!

The guy never introduced himself or gave his name. After a while my colleague was so put off by him that she didn't bother asking his name. If I PM her cell no to you, will that help?

try this number -021 409 3700, ask for either Faik Omar or Sergio Fernandez- as far as i was told there are about 4 companies handling the outbound process so it would be a bit hard to track, these guys are the guys to speak to.
