MTN cuts off Cell C number range

I have phoned 084 1900030 for 2 years, it has been my main line of communication to my loved ones and I think its a very poor show on MTN that they have resorted to this in the vain hope that their subscribers are all of a sudden going to call International lines directly from their mobiles, as a result of MTN blocking access to these numbers. How stupid do they think their subscribers are??

I have been trying to get an answer from MTN for the past month on this issue before I read the article that is the subject of this thread, and today I have finally sent them this email:

"...I am very disappointed in MTN. I have been a loyal customer of MTN since 1999. I have used the number: 084 1900030 since the beginning of 2010 to call my fiancé overseas, and my family around the world, and in the process I have spend not hundreds, but thousands of rands in subscription fees and TopUp charges doing so. For MTN to take this action and stance in preventing their customers from calling these numbers and services is sad, and I am sad to have to say that if this will be the kind of thing I can expect from MTN as a long standing customer and subscriber who has spent a considerable amount of money over the last 12 years with MTN, then this will be the last contract of any kind I have with MTN."

First chance I get will port to Vodacom, MTN can say goodbye to my business for good if this is their attitude. Well done MTN.
