Mtn is trenching for lay ftth in parkmore!.
I m really pleased about getting the ftth but not pleased its mtn as i ve looked at there data packages and it
doesn't look that good.

MTN Supersonic 1 : R794 pm 20Mbps 20GB data and 24 month contract

MTN Supersonic 1 : R1014 pm 50Mbps 50GB data and 24 month contract

MTN Supersonic 1 : R1389 pm 100Mbps 100GB data and 24 month contract

My only hope is that its an open access network.

As Cypersmarts lightspeed is a much better deal

its R899 for 20Mbps uncapped ftth

I know lonehill recently got mtn ftth but cant find much on that.

just thought i would post this if anyone was interested.

I'm going to be moving to Parkmore in the next month or so. Super-happy about the FTTH but I'm not sure about the packages available. I'm really not interested in a contract with any one service provider, which probably rules out Telkom and MTN.

Does anyone know if Vumatel is going to be in Parkmore?

Sadly, MTN is a closed network. Good Luck

@jackshiels - where can this be confirmed? By the way don't actually mind Telkom, better the devil you know than the devil you don't. MTN might also just be our only hope - 1km away from their HQ.

OK - looks like MTN have embraced the open access way but on their terms it seems. Now just to find out which ISP's will be offering services over their network.

Has anyone got any updates?

I'm on 14th street and I chatted to one of the workers laying the fibre and for the life of me I couldn't understand what company he was laying for. Skrux, or something like that.

Here's to hoping MTN is as open as they say they are (or as we want to believe). I haven't been able to find any info about anyone providing services on their network at all.
