MTN gearing up for big 1Gbps FTTH?

perhaps just a wishful web developer putting up a test page with his ideal offering..

A cached copy of the page is still available through Google.
Expired unfortunately, I'd be interested in seeing it as I have a MTN artificial tree about 100m away which is surely attached to fibre.

... guess it'll still only be for complexes though :(

All these providers seem to be getting on the FTTH bandwagon with cheaper and cheaper prices. Easy enough I suppose when only a handful of suburbs in South Africa can make use of it. Alas :)

MTN unveiled aggressive pricing for its FTTH services during October 2014, promoting its new fibre services to “high-density urban areas, such as high-end gated communities, boomed-off suburbs, and high-rise buildings”.

So basically the same places that everyone els is targeting.... Thanks for that eMpTy-N.

That's not the worst - the worst is they can't give it to me even if I wanted it.

Not going to happen, pricing too cheap for their greed

Why don't they focus their resources on cheap 60mb to 80mb that is reliable and easier to install and that has a billing system that isn't screwed up and allows customers to join, cancel etc., without any drama. This is just for publicity.
