MTN HSUPA here

So if I decide to sign up a 1GB 3G contract today (with E220 modem), who should I go with? MTN or Vodacom?

Charlie if you want to go with the hype, I will say MTN. MTN Modem is also cheaper on contracts and it looks sexier(Black is beautiful).

The only plus I can say about Vodacom is I do believe they have more coverage, imho.

But other than that I do believe their pricing per MB are the same.

My personal opinion is MTN. But if you chose MTN and they screw you over don't blame me.

Ooh, nice.

I'm actually thinking of getting myself a 3G/HSDPA contract. I see MTN has one for R 79 pm.

Can anyone tell me how much it is per meg and If I buy a bundle if it possible to roll over the bundle to the next month(Yes I know I'm dreaming)?

Regards,

Ps. Oh, and does the USB dongle support Ubuntu?

Yip, the USB works great on Ubuntu 8.04

Just on another note, I am using wvdial to connect, so it won't give you any stats or anything, but there is another thread in the Linux section on how to load the Vodafone software. It works with MTN
