MTN increases international call prices

That agreement between Cell C and Vodacom didn't exist when I was a Cell C subscriber. Even if it did, who's to say Cell C wouldn't believe their worse than useless coverage is enough to not warrant costly Vodacom roaming? Something tells me Cell C isn't keen to use Vodacom in urban areas if at all possible.
Reference???

Besides, you talk about the past when Cell C network was sabotaged by Vodacom towers. Listen feedback from the poeple who currently use Cell C, you will change your mind.

I wonder what they aspire to get right, Voda too. Maybe hurting the customers is the order of the day. Sigh

You don't seriously think Vodacom would miss an opportunity to fleece Cell C? It's highly likely Cell C used the agreement to expand their non-urban coverage - historically one of their biggest criticisms. Using their own towers in cities is almost certainly much cheaper than using Vodacom's infrastructure, and seeing as they have their own towers in all major cities it goes to reason that they would only divert customers in those areas to Vodacom in an absolute emergency.

What sabotage do you speak of?

had a PAYG phone with me overseas, couldnt phone or sms because it gets blocked,

BUT,

MTN was happy to forward me all the advertising SMS spam from the different local companies, the international SMS charge for receiving the SMS ate through all the airtime on the phone.
