MTN: iPhone 12 Pro - Stock

Hey Guys,

RE: MTN Contract - iPhone 12 Pro

Phoned an MTN branch for an update on the stock of the "iPhone 12 Pro" and was told that they would only be receiving stock in "Mid March".

Does anyone have any idea if this is true across the various networks and if not, where can one get a hold of such a device on a contract?
 
I’ve heard “next week” for weeks. IStore say end of the month.. which month you ask, probably July.
some stores say end of this month!?
some say mid March..
It’s starting to actually pi$$ me off that no one can give us a definitive answer

There is a global shortage of the Pro and Pro Max variants.
 
I got an sms from the iStore yesterday that said they have stock of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which I was on the waiting list for. Got in my car straight away and went and got it.

The fact that they can’t give definitive answers is really frustrating!

So now the bulge in your pants is finally a phone....
 
I did also around then, at Fourways mall so hopefully something turns up this week. I’m due for an upgrade and my XS battery doesn’t last more than 6 hours
 
Put an order in first week of Jan and still waiting with MTN. At no stage did they indicate a stock shortage until I kept escalating, they were just stringing me along for a month. If I had gone to iStore I would have by now
 
I thought I had been abused by MTN before but the dishonesty around the iPhone has reached a new low, even for them. If we had a stronger regulator at least we could push back on this level of fraudulent abuse of customers
