MTN or Vodacom?

It really doesn't. Eg vodacom launched 3G in my town and turned off edge, so my friend is stuck with gprs or gsm on her phone. Look at the vodacom website vodacom has nwarly no edge coverage in populated areas, so what if you have a 2G phone? They've sold 100 of thousands of Blackberry 8520's and many of these people get no signal and then claim there's something wrong with Blackberry.
PS: MTN 3G has gone down once in the last four years that I've had a 3G phone compared to how many times that the Vodacom network completely crashed? And I'm not talking about Blackberry here (because that's so much worse).

MTN is the best network. You can't go wrong.

if you travell a lot its vodacom
if you need a reliable network its mtn
if you need customer care its vodacom
if you need edge its mtn
if your life depends on mobile connectivity get both

Where do you see that you get charged R20 for the mail? I get mine through NM and AFAIK, I am not getting charged for it.
 
People complaining about MTN.

SO GET ANYTIME TOPUP. I got my new HTC Desire a few days ago on MTN Topup 200 for R339 pm which is the exact same price as the Anytime 200. So just get Topup and Know your bill CAN'T exceed what it normally is or its obvious there is something wrong.
 
I can now confirm that Vodacom is useless in every regard, and people who say Vodacom customer care is better than MTN are clearly smoking something. After waiting 50 minutes listening to that stupid rains in africa song I managed to speak to an activations consultant who told me to call another line that's closed now t sort out activation. 26 hours after making the massive mistake of signing up with vodacom I still have no service in any sense of the word. I should have stuck with MTN.
 
Its got something to do with the platform(whatever that is). Tell them to logg a call with IT to fix the platform.
 
Did you switch for the galaxy S Oronte? You should havae just waited till it came out on mtn...
 
The Top Up 315 package allows you to buy data bundles with included airtime, something MTN does not allow. Hence my bill would have doubled on MTN not having a Blackberry anymore.
 
For my laptop deal I took mtn. Got the macbook pro mc374.R570x24 months. Vodacom charging R680x36 and R920x24
 
MTN = double billing from hell. Good coverage is a farce. July saw the end of 10 years+ with MTN.

Vodacom all the way baby.
