Hi, I think my pay-as-you-go Sim has expired or something :(

I usually load R300 airtime, for a 1 gig data bundle -- on different pc now -- this month when I dialled 141 .. and press 3 .. I no longer have option '3' to load data bundle??? Only sms and something else.

Now I've loaded the airtime to that SIM -- is there any way to reactivate it?
Fail to understand why it cancels after 2 or 3 months :(

Worst case can I transfer the money to a new sim .. *141*6328*(number)*(rand amount)# ??? I really dont want too but how else do I get the money back???

Help

call centre

1555 <---- doesn't know what to do and apparently I must log a call with the help desk so someone can get back to me.

Could someone pls explain to me how I could get around this as I have no desire to purchase SMS or CALL bundles. This means Im basically going to be throwing away a SIM card every single month, from now on.

Thank you Skeptik.

Yeah, I can't hear the "load data bundle" for 141 , I'll try waiting 24hrs and see if I can do it then.

Btw Skeptik, when you purchase SIMS and load bundles on them, what exactly do you do to activate the SIM because once a data bundle is loaded on a "new" SIM, it isnt activated on network yet for data. Do you phone operator to get them to do it, or SMS 123* or something to receive an SMS - and therefore activate it.

I think I may go that route if the SIMS are expiring. Just put in a new one every month, but I dont want to have to phone them to activate it every month.

Appreciate feedback, thanks.

Okay other SIM is working, you were right about the delay, and system updating (ie: 3, "3" 'load data bundle' available now).

Thanks for *123# WAP info :)

An expired SIM will not show anything but "Expired SIM" when you put it in a phone. Not even emergency calls or operator calls. Nada.
 --- Makes note to carry an extra SIM incase of emergency.

Thanks for all help Skeptik,
Cheers.
