So I just picked this "discrepancy" now.

Have a look at the MTN 36 month iPhone 6s contract options here:

They were of course supplied by MTN at the local launch mid Oct.

Now have a look at the latest 36 month iPhone 6s pricing options from the Nov YellowTrader

Notice how the iPhone 6s 128gb; 6s Plus 64gb & 128gb models have a substantially higher pricing per month just a few weeks after launch.

My theory is due to the good take up of the 36 month options; MTN is now raising the cost a great deal more for the top end "premium" 128gb models (4.7" & 5.5") & strangely 64gb Plus not the 4.7" 64gb 6s.

You might be onto something as some are "100" & some are "200" packages but why do most of the pricing still match up.

Unless in this YelloTrader they mixed & match packages when showing the 36 month options.

I have no idea. I don't and never will deal with MTN. The 36 month iPhone 6S 64GB deal would have swung me but the experience I had with them has put me off forever.

Called in to order a 5C when the R250 special was on for the a friend's upgrade. Was told that they hadn't received stock for 2 months. So we ordered a 5S.

A month later, we were told that the 5S was never going to arrive as MTN was not ordering new stock due to the 6... So without any gesture of goodwill after having made us wait 1 month + for the 5S, she reluctantly ordered the 6 and got it a week later...

So a budgeted R250 pm went up to R470 pm because of stupidity in the marketing (offering the 5C) and sales (selling the 5S we ordered and they booked for us to another customer) departments.

Because of this, I will NEVER take out an MTN contract no matter how good that deal looks!

MyMTNChoice is not the same as TopUp/Anytime packages and they have different call cost rates etc. Also i think they new packages are the MyMTNChoice and the older Anytime/TopUp packages seems to be slowly getting killed off? e.g. when i upgraded they kept my package the same but new customers seemed to get the MyMTNChoice?
