MTN unrestricted APN (MTNVPN)

Hi, does anyone know how to get the MTN unrestricted to work?

Client has a CCTV setup and want to view it on his phone but its being blocked by the APN at their office, MTN says they no longer support the unrestricted APN which I find hard to believe as many still use it for cases like this.

And we can't really move to another network as we have many other clients on MTN so keeping everything the same is quite handy.

Unless there is no other way then we would have to move to another network.

Not the answer you're looking for, but in this scenario, a possible alternative is a VPS with a VPN server, connect up client site with VPN client and then do some port forwarding between client and server to expose a port to the public internet.

I have spent the week trying to get the MTNVPN APN enabled on my Business contract SIMM. I finally hit the jackpot and got someone at the callcentre who understood. They informed me that I need to send an email to [email protected] with a request on a letterhead and a copy of the authorised signatory's ID. This will then take 24-48 hours to be processed. Lets hope

Did MTN activate the mtnvpn apn for you?
I sent my details through and got a response stating; "Kindly note MTN does not have the unrestricted APN any longer , there is currently no service as of yet to replace it ."
