everything works on an auction basis. If someone comes along with deep pockets they'll outbid MC. Sports are a main drawcard. If a new player buys one major league and ties up a contract with one of the big studios they'll do well. It comes down to how serious they are about competing. SABC tried it with heroes, but they haven't shown the second season and i'm already up to date with season 3! On the new pvr you can set favourite channels- i don't have SABC cos they always show crap. Rather not have it on the i-plate. E-tv is descending into a b-grade station that shows movie's from 10 years ago. Delayed broadcast of soccer matches. And pathetic talk shows.

Yup, thing is there are loads of channels available in the world (far more than what MC shows), there has to be something that can captivate the 3 groups as listed above?

In another thread the challenge was raised to boycott Multichoice - but the general feeling I got from that was that most people will happily pay their levies to Multichoice and not do anything because they don't want to miss watching their precious sport.

Librarian you are correct, i admit i do fall in to that catagory.

I will also admit that MC have me by the Balls, they are over charging, but i cannot do without supersport, so unfortunatly i have to cough up for the full bouqet, even if i only watch 4 or 5 channels.

Here's a brainwave- why doesn't someone from bskyb come over to south africa. Buy off the license from telkom media who seem very incompetent. And launch sky south africa.

they should just do wat all the other companies do. Have a token black guy who just sits in his office making phone calls, attends functions, drive's fancy cars, goes on expensive holidays, wear designer clothes. In short just get a black diamond and you're sorted.

You do a BIG disservice to many clued up hard working people out there.

You do not see or hear about them because they do not have an uncle , aunty , brother , cousin , dead relative that is somehow connected to the ANC MAFIA

It is NOT about finding hard working switched on guys that are passionate about the technology.

It IS ALL about finding ways of getting past the ANC MAFIA OLIGARCHY
