Hi all,

I'm looking for an small program where I can edit mp3's? Like to take swear words out of songs for my little sis.:D

I vote for Audacity too. But I am curious as to how you're going to edit just the swearwords out, without completely messing up the song

Wouldn't it be easier - and possibly better sounding - to just download radio edit versions?

I wish you luck. I know there is software out there that attempts to remove the voice from the music but you usually end up with a mono wav which you then have to restereo which ends up absolute cr*p. I assume there is proper software out there which can do this at a price, I never tried the buy ones, only the free ones. Although I cannot recommend any software I am interested to know if you found something that was useable as I have failed to do so. And I am not about to buy software for the odd once off. Every bit of advice I have received from people have been that without a proper mixing desk and the proper digital original you are not going to have great success.

Good luck.

just mark and cut the part that offends - use the undo if it sounds wrong - if need be zoom in on your file (scroll wheel is a short cut in some proggies) remember to do DC off sett after editing (to get rid of ticks )
