musical instruments

start with guitar, think that might be easiest lol

Good idea, guess I'd need a guitar :p Suppose I would try a music store. Hmm, I think I'm more lazy than busy lol. Do I have to learn? Isn't there a pill?

+1 for the music store idea. They almost always have 2cnd hand kit stuck away in a corner somewhere.

There's a guy in the southern suburbs who usually has a few 2cnd hand guitars for sale. All have been fixed to perfect working condition by him. From google: "For the very best guitar repairs, contact Rob Drake, the Guitar Doctor. Telephone 021 7012691 or mobile 082 7204291"

Also check gumtree.co.za great deals there but only do face-to-face deals.

There was a great SG copy (Epiphone) that I saw at Cash Crusaders - should go and check it out again.
I'm not telling where :p
At R800 it's a steal and I wants it for myself :p

I play bass and drums and a bit of guitar. Drums are most fun IMO.

Been playing piano for the past 13 years, would love to learn to play guitar....tried it once, but for some reason keep getting confused between which hand should do what. lol....maybe because I'm left handed?

Piano rocks!

I tried while on high school and took lessons, but just couldn't stick with it.

Guitar was a mixture of self taught, a book and playing with friends :p

A friend contacted me through facebook last night and she probably has a guitar to see me. I want a classical one so we see. Waiting for her reply... :D

drums, drums and more drums.
Danny carrey/carter beauford are inspirational

I've played a bit of drums, guitar and piano, not accomplished with any instrument though.

I play electric guitar ( lead ), and a bit of bass.

and of coarse, AirGuitar!!

You'd be suprised how years of AirGuitar and simply looking at live musicians playing actually helped me learn to play a real guitar and churn out my first original song within my 1st two weeks of playing. ;)

AirGuitar ftw!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I got my guitar today yippee

A bit late, but congrats all the same! :)

How has it been going?

Awesome, the thing about Guit is that you can play solo very easily. I used to play Clarinet / Sax and can still play guitar. My children do flute / piano. I am seriously considering getting a tenor Sax but eish... almost R10k second hand... will wait for a bargain lol.

For a solo, guitar is awesome. If you are very new to it, I seriously recommend looking out for Ernie Ball's books - great place to start.
