Muslim Groups Attempt to Censor Wikipedia

And how does he look?
How does Jesus look?
Did they take pics with their camera phones?

Pictures in Islam is forbidden. Pictures/drawings of The Prophet is forbidden.
Praising the Prophets grave, hair, swords are forbidden.
What isn't forbidden?

well that's what i'd like to see. why are pictures forbidden? pardon me, but that's just dumb. i suppose if they had a picture of gawd they wouldn't show that either cos "you must believe in the unseen" crap. just show the darn pics already. we all know what JC looked like, assuming that he existed and that he was real.

I dont think they ( the publishers ) meant any harm by it...As you say, by taking away the face i can still understand...But i also think its a good thing to let YOUR god be known to men...:)

If its forbidden then its forbidden,
like a jew cant eat milk and meat, one cannot force a jew to do that.
I can understand why they are upset, its part of their 'laws'

But I think the main point is the part where one of the posters here said that muslims will laugh at christian jokes etc, and then be offended by this.
that is hypocracy.

I think we should respect eachothers religion, and not question their followings

What p1sses me off is when Muslims burn for example the American or Israeli flag, its no big deal, but if someone burns their flag then the whole world comes crumbling down and they threaten suicide bombers and revenge etc etc.

Good post. Tolerance is key here. It seems that most religions do not know the meaning of this word.

A jew "cant eat milk" huh? anyways, a Jew doesnt force me not to "eat" milk.

As a non-religious person my beliefs are that muhammed can be shown in a cartoon eating a pork sausage... wheres the tolerance for my beliefs? or does this door only swing the muslim way?

Sadly, that is usually the way. People who do not have religious beliefs of any kind have no rights at all. That is not fair.

There is no picture of gawd...
It has to be made up... right?
Is that how JC looked? long Blonde curly hair on a cross?

to go a bit further, i'd even say that they would find south park funny. in south park, Jesus is made fun of, amongst many others. i'm sure if they did that to Muhammad in south park, then they would get upset. Muhammad was in one episode, but guess what? his pic wasn't shown.

Islam has turned instigating violence and terror and then shouting the victim... into an art form.

Best joke of all is, one of my best mates is a Muslim :)

Same here - his GF as well and ill say happily that they are two of the nicest, most honest, caring people i know, considerate, friendly, down to earth, enjoy toking the herb, but when it comes to religion, they get sensitive.
Im not religious but respect them immensly and respect their beliefs... just dont let it effect the way i live my life.
