MWEB 1Mb Uncapped Unthrottled???

right, so it means they are not worried about your amount of bandwidth usage? Thats not too bad.

Not unless you really go mad, in which case they will actually disable your account, after a couple of warnings. But this is very rare, from what I can tell.

You are not shaped based on your usage, but rather on the entire network load, which is a good system, as far as I am concerned.

Unthrottled means they won't punish you by limiting your speed based on usage.
Shaping means they will prioritize certain protocols such as P2P during business hours

^this.

It is also probably a response to Telkom's uncapped, unshaped, throttled consumer product.
MWeb's consumer products are uncapped, shaped, unthrottled.

No difference, same old uncapped, just have wonder prefix "unthrottled"!

I'm not sure how it is now, but some ISPs used to throttle you back to a certain speed once you went over a daily/weekly cap of some sort. That could be what they mean.

Again a very misleading page from Mweb (the rogues).

Check out throttling vs. shaping.

Where it isn't throttled it is sure as hell SHAPED. In fact shaping is their speciality and it aint pretty!

Business hours being undefined - but in practise means after 1:30Am or beyond and sometimes on weekends when they are having problems.

Usually between 08:00 - 17:00
but my speed usually increases from 20:00+ from what i have noticed during the week

It's like selling water with the description "no artificial colours".
