Can anybody give me an indication of what Mweb's 384 (219p/m) uncapped account acceptable usage policy is??

aka how much am I allowed to download? or what are other users getting on average per month.

Hi savagezaing

There is no limit to how much you can download, as long as you abide by the AUP you can download as much as you like.
Also the AUP is the same for all our shaped products.

Let me know if you would like me to set you up with a trial account and you can test the network for yourslef. ;)

kind regards
MWEB Guy

A friend of mine used to average around 70-80GB on the 384 package, using mainly usenet to fullfill said requirements.

I already have an account for 10 days, and have been using it.. a little more liberal that I did with my telkom 10GB.. it's the 4th and I downloaded 3G of the Fedora Images I am trying to get already.... but my download speed dropped to 10KB/s 2 days ago... And doesn't seem to pick up at night.Youtube trailers takes 3 hours to stream.... So I thought I had already gone over the "AUP" stipulations and was being throttled or at least seriously shaped. But I assume that is the difference between capped and uncapped :'(

Drop me a PM with your account details and I'll check it out from my side for you.

Kind regards
MWEB Guy

MWEB is really awesome. I also know of a "friend" who pulls 60-70GB per month on newsgroup. Downloads at 35-40K per second. Only downside is that he needs to pause downloads if he wants to do browsing. Streaming YouTube is a no-no.

Em.. yes ... what I didn't want to say was "downloading" from youtube (flashgot) However it still took 3 hours to get a 30MB file.. But maybe it was just slow for the past few days.. I'll check when I get home and see if the problem persists
