It's no coincidence that MWEB was rated one of the lowest here on MyBB, just above Opensewer.
You are incorrect in believing that I want the cheapest account to download like crazy. I know that this is not a reality in South Africa right now.
I pay a similar price to what I would at MWEB. My gaming latency is literally the best I have ever had, with any ISP. I don't have issues where I have to reset my router or listen to SEACOM excuses (out of MWEBs control, ye ye) or suffer under a 30 day rolling window throttle which may impact on such latency sensitive protocols.
MWEB goes in dry, you don't even get to bite the pillow.
I expected that you would not respond properly and avoid discussing what I called you out on and proved wrong. I also kindly ask that you do me the favour of formatting your posts including my quotes so that I know exactly what you're responding to, otherwise it seems you're not debating at all.
That way we can really see who is fibbing or not.
I am tired of people deceiving consumers in search of quality internet. Whether they are just plain wrong (like in your case), or whether they had unique issues in the 0.01%.
It's so funny that you mention the votes, see my post above. This is exactly it. They are voted down because they do not suit the needs of people who consume a lot of data in comparison to others.
Remember that when you subscribe to polls on a tech/digital forum, the people who vote have exceptionally different needs than most. And in MWEB's case, it's a case of sour grapes because they rained on the parade of all the downloaders who suddenly woke up to face the prospects of throttling.
Sour, sour grapes selfishly used to deceive others looking for good internet.
I have no idea what you are talking about about SEACOM. This goes exactly to show that you must be talking about something many moons ago. Please tell us when you used them, search your email for the invoices. We'll then sift back through the Feedback thread and match the issues with SEACOM you're talking about here.
A 30 day rolling window is an excellent way of throttling, and much better than a soft cap.
Soft capped accounts, when capped, limit usage to a throttled speed for the rest of the month.
Throttled uncapped accounts, when the throttle limit has been reached, limit usage for as long as it takes for the account to fall back within the throttle limit, at which point the account returns to full speed. This could happen after a single day of lower/no usage, and not at the beginning of the next month.
