Mweb blacklisted me for their mistake

I think MWEB have been reasonable here. For once, I'll side with them. Read the whole thread before commenting people, there is more to it than the first page/post.

I agree with andwoo but the whole thing is a mess, not a clear cut.
The only thing that is a problem is it took someone like Will to finally sort it out. Will, is there not a escalation process that subscribers can use if they feel wronged?

Ok firstly it was never my intention to come here a slam and abuse the Mweb name and their operations. I came here to resolve a issue I had since obviously it didn't get resolved back in 2010.
Secondly the confusion came when they told me it will expire and it didn't and the account was given to my parents [as stated in my other posts and to mweb and the recorded calls] so there was no way to know that the account was still active until it was too late.
The account was disabled but reactivated cause it was connected to[according to mweb] which it would have been because the details are in the router.
Then. The lady [Nazlie Grey] I spoke to was such a shining star in such a dark situation.
I was hesitent to pay but never said I would not I wanted mweb to meet me half way since the blame could be put on us both for this situation.
The communication stopped between me and mweb because I have given up. The matter was not being resolved and mweb was hearing nothing. So i was hoping that all the disputes and queries has paid off but it didn't So its not that I left it is because I did not know where to turn with this and what else I possibly could do.
Finally I am sort off happy with the outcome but I have to ask myself if I would have received the same result if I had not posted my query on a public forum?

Hey guys i'm having the same problem , I registered a free account by them for one month (the account didn't even work and I received no emails etc after submitting my details) Im only 16 so I registered my moms phone number no credit card details or any thing of that sort! now my mom is receiving sms's that their going to blacklist her account , I called them and they said there is a amount of 1000 rand outstanding wtf! keep in mind that the account is registered to my name so in their books their going to blacklist me !? a 16 year old ?

Don't leave it there trust me. ITS A MISSION to remove blacklisting...... Once you get blacklisted they won't even give you a cellphone contract or if you want a clothing account at a store they won't even get back to you if you applied..... I got my problem sorted a long time ago but it took about 1 month to remove my blacklisting off my name......
PS: This is a old thread and my problem has been resolved so please keep that in mind when posting.....

I'm just saying I left it there the first time and got blacklisted. So I'm just telling you not to leave this with a we will get back to you. I say it up to you to take this on. Its going to cost lots of phone calls but for mr it was the only way.

Is that not illegal in terms of the CPA? Mweb can find themselves in an extremely costly situation IMO
