Can you please give us more info with regards to this.
Thank you

Hi Luf, let me use a common cliché again ... imminent, this time genuinely so.

As soon as I can get the go ahead, I will post here. Don't want to put myself at risk of being subjected to unspeakable things by our marketing ladies.

OK, MWEB Connect's revised offerings are up on the website ... http://www.mweb.co.za/productsservi...ernetAccessADSLPricing/tabid/142/Default.aspx

WOOT! thank you! So these prices will kick in on the 1st of Sept i take?

Ill be contacting your sales dept now to find out more:)

(Now for you guys to work on your out-of-bundle prices. 1GIG FOR R99 is extremely uncompetative!) SORRY for R99 you get 1.5 gigs now! Not that great but a step in the right direction at least.

That's what I've heard, plus they don't inform clients of the out-of-bundle rate. I take it they are required to inform clients before, by law???
Hi Carbon_Fibre, all the OOB pricing information you requested is specified on the link I posted.

So if I was not informed of the OOB rate, then what? It was a free 1GB account. The written sign-up form makes no mention of the OOB rate or this procedure. Do you think it is fair for someone to be charged this ridiculous OOB rate when they have not been informed as such?

You guys chase all the Company Representatives away. I've been working with Mweb Business for a couple of years know and I've always had good service from them.

Just take note that Mweb business is not Mweb Home.

 Do we at least get vaseline with those prices?

Honestly, people must be stupid/ignorant to go with mweb but advertising seems to work though I must admit.
I am one of those stupid/ignorant people.I have been with Mweb for 11 years now.In that time my Internet has never been down that I can remember as a result of Mweb.Their call centre has always given me excellent service and since being on DSL my connection has been stable as far as speeds are concerned.I am happy to pay the extra amount of money for this.I can only relate my experiences with Mweb.

same here.

I had a complain this month, i emailed them and I had FOUR people call me to find out if my complaint had been resolved and what else they could do for me.

I now have a 7.5gig account and a 4meg line i am happy to pay for purely because i know my internet will always be ON and if its not it will be resolved chop chop. Thanks Mweb.

Can you please respond to this thread regarding automatic boosters -

Hi daveza,

OK, here is how it works. If one goes into your MyAccount control panel (http://www.mweb.co.za/services/myaccount/) and clicks on ADSL, you will be presented with the following OOB options;

Debit Order Customer

You will see some radio buttons providing you the option to select either 'Pay Per MB [ 20c/MB ]' or 'Buy booster (Boost Per GB)'

Should you select Pay Per MB the account will not go into local only mode and will continue to provide blended traffic on a pay per MB basis.

Should you select Buy booster you will have the option to manually buy a booster (additional blended GB), and you'll also have the option to Enable Auto-Booster which will automatically purchase the selected GB to keep you running in blended mode.

There is only a single automatic Auto-Boost per month, following which, the account will go into local only mode with the first 10GB being free.

Now if you leave the settings at their defaults; Buy booster with Auto-Booster Disabled, the account will go into local only mode once the initial blended GB traffic is exhausted. In local only mode the first 10GB are free, thereafter local only traffic will be charged at 3c per MB.

Thus once one goes into local only mode, there is no hard cap. This is to maintain conformance with ICASA's regulations regarding the provisioning of ADSL services.

Non-Debit Order Customer

If one is not on debit order, the 'Pay Per MB [ 20c/MB ]' and 'Auto-Booster' functionality is not presented, and cannot be selected, resulting in the account going into local only mode once the blended cap has been exhausted (as described above).

Hope this clarifies things for you.

Hi Amida, yes would have been nice to have my MWEB Connect compatriot here today, alas due to a scheduling clash this was not possible. They'll be here soon though, in the mean time I'll do my best to handle the queries.
