mweb down international

Don't know what seacom has to do with Mweb locally but I have clients using Mweb down in Paarl and Pretoria, International and local, while the rest of there company not on Mweb is working find without a problem, isn't that odd, also Iburst works fine which normally won't if there's a problem with the seacom line even stranger

It's a bit like train timetable announcements. About as clear, and occasionally having some relation to reality, and almost always has no estimated time to fix...

Usually it is obvious to MyBB users that there is a problem, long before any announcement is finally made.

Hahaha Thanx

Hey Friends,

A Blue Monday indeed!

It seems like our 'faithfull' friend, the Seacom cable is down again. Either the link to the cable is down or the cable itself. We are still trying to pin down the exact cause.

Engineers are attending!

This will affect the international connection of most ADSL clients. SAT3 backup is currently being employed, and will be available shortly.

We apologize for the inconvenience!

Bring on EASSY!

Kind regards

There are several threads about their downtime experienced now.
Apparently, Mweb business isn't affected. However, it's not only Mweb but most (I stand under correction if I had to say all) ISPs are affected with downtime right now.

Was this via email ? If so I'm still awaiting mine

Hi

There is currently an outage on both of our Seacom links, which we believe is affecting all ISP’s using Seacom for their international bandwidth. At this stage we do not have an ETA for when the service will be restored.

I suspect that their default web page is set to a non locally hosted site. If they wait long enough or change the default site to blank, it will probably work fine on locally hosted sites.

why you throwing you toys out the cot

1st investigate why and try calling their call centers as well
