MWEB download speed slow

Hey guys,
I have an uncapped shaped 2mbps(225kB/s) line with mweb, the first few weeks i was able to download dlcs/addons and download games of steam at about max speed, near the end of January 2013 my max download speed went from 225KB/s to 55KB/s i have posted a complaint on hellopeter but have got no response from them, seriously need to find a fix for this, has anyone experienced this??

PS its the 2 February 2013 and i still have this problem and at about 11pm when my download speed use to got to 225KB/s are now sitting on 55kB/s

I was put on hold for what i think was about 30mins before i gave up and smashed the handset down

How much did you download the past month? a lot?

With all the game updates,addons, and playing online i will say roughly around 30-40gb
WOW has big updates and i downloaded a few games of steam

40 Gigs isn't a lot, so you're definitely not being throttled or anything.

Hmmm... maybe you need a port reset. (i'm guessing)
I'd just message their Rep - at least you won't need to hold the phone for a half hour then.

just double checked on my account on the mweb site used 68GB...is that enough to get throttled??

Mweb state they do not throttled. You maybe shaped. Are ur browsing slowed down?

I have my port reset at least once a week. Silly question, but have you rebooted your router?

If your account is like this [email protected] try this. Change the [email protected] to [email protected]. THis will force your router to get new ip from Mweb. Check your physical sync speed on your router aswell.
