Mweb experiencing international connectivity downtime (29 March 2012)

So much for having Business Uncapped Unshaped over Fiber fail.....

Oh well at least with Mweb you know it will be fixed soon.

Local is getting crappier and crappier now too, seriously if it's been going on since 9:30, fix it already ........

At least they immediately admit there`s an issue and attend to it. It gives a level of comfort when u cant open international and there is immediately a press release giving details.

Has this outage affected MWEB Business customers too? Can anyone confirm? Their unshaped (and possibly uncapped) business clients should not be affected, due to the redundancy being place. Right?

Yes it has effected MWEB Business Customers too... I also thought there is redundancy in place for us... But i guess not as i have 0% internal browsing to my availability and none of my static IP's are working.

Yeah I somehow think that what you pay for "Business DSL" doesn't really warrant the same QOS as someone paying for Diginet or some sort for of guaranteed service. If you honestly believe they keep a 1:1 capacity reserved for you on a redundant link for the price they charge, you would be very disillusioned.

The fact is we dealing Telecom and IT, **** happens, get over it. Nothing in IT or Telecoms is actually 100% guaranteed fullproof.
