Anybody see the irony in that?
 
I was online last night between 7 and 9. My latency settled at 480ms after 3 minutes (after i logged in it was 7000ms). All was fine and well for about 10 - 15 minutes then it shot back to 7000+ms. There was also a time last night where my ingame latency showed 1600ms, but it took 30 seconds for a action to occur. Trade chat and whispers were instant though.

I dont know if any of that information is helpfull Will@Mweb, lets just hope that it is :D Oh, btw, I live in the boland area and Im playing on a 384k line on a 384k uncapped shaped service from the lovely folks at mweb :D

Hi Havox

I'm not sure where you got this info, but it is not correct. We think the deal they have might be with Branded Internet, but really only BT games can answer that one for you.

Could I get a proper sound off of everyone in the channel having problems as to where you are located geographically?

As mentioned before, I'm in CT CBD area (Gardens to be exact).

What beanbag said is true though. Well at least the first time I started experiencing the wow/mweb lag. Trade/ Guildchat would be instant, but gameplay would be: cast. wait. action. Ping ranges anywhere from between 1k ms(I've never really seen mine drop below this) all the way up to 30k ms. The reported lag in game, and sometimes in game lag for what you experience can be very off.
Recently, even gchat is delayed though. I am completely unable to raid/ run dungeons/ pvp with mweb. However farming and just moving around the world is, I guess, doable.
 
Ok so obviously the WoW issues have not been addressed yet, whats the next step or is it time to move?
 
Tell me where you live please, everyone who is having issues, I need a reliable tester in JHB to confirm if the experience up there is any different.
 
I'm in CT CBD as well, also Gardens. LoL smokemaryjane maybe we know each other...
 
@Will having terriable pings in COD:BO the last hour or so, nothing else is running.

Indeed, the net has come to a snails pace, and high latency.

4Mb, Gordons Bay (Capetown)
 
Durbanville CT, 4mb uncapped shaped, 4meg line(synced to that without issues, had telkom test yesterday)
 
Brakpan Gauteng. Couldn't do anything in SW or Dala.... instant comms, but infinite cast times and eventual (2 mins+) That was from about 6pm until after 9pm. Restarted router (including 3 min off state). Restarted machine and still the same issues. Had to change accounts to raid.

@Reinher and @Blustorm can you confirm that your experience in terms of latency has been the same as everyone else here, high latency (spiking into the 1000's) starting off at very close to 18h00 in the evening?
 
@Kosmik, what is the experience like now? I checked both a Cape Town and JHB Blackops server about 90 minutes after your post and everything seemed fine. If you have this problem again please post a tracert to the server IP at the time you're having the problem - it will give me some idea of where you're picking up latency.

In general, I have to say I've had little to no lag. But yesterday, I logged in about 16:35, and all was fine. I did some quests with one of my alts on another realm (Darkspear) with no issues. logged out at about 17:50 to bath my daughter, and logged back into main realm (Daggerspine) at about 18:17. It was laggy, but tolerable for about 5 mins, then the lag became intolerable. I logged out again at about 18:30 to go out, and came back after 19:00... still the same issues until I logged off again at about 19:25. I then logged in again at 20:45 and was the same. I rebooted my machine, same. I turned off the router for a few mins, still the same. I then changed accounts to another ISP, and no issues. I will say that all the while during this time, my son was having a blast of CoD: BO.

Also, I have often been playing across the 18:00 Bermuda Triangle with no issues, but it seems something happened yesterday.
