Will, how have WA managed to get it right? They have prioritised wow traffic on their shaped accounts. Ive got a 1gb prepaid, and 1 monthly shaped account with them and my latency never goes above 300.
Surely prioritising wow traffic wont have a negative effect on your network, as the actual b.w consumption by wow is minimal at most? I played wow 4 years ago on an average latency back then of about 700/800. This was manageable but not feasible for PVP. If you were playing with a bunch of saffers, itll suffice, but with internationals its just 2 slow. Now through WA im playing on a 270 average ping on a shaped account and I can say that theres a massive improvement in gameplay on a low latency connection compared to the opposite.
Gaming and latency issues are the main factors preventing me from moving to your uncapped solution.
