Got this in the mail this morning:

Your usage is currently exceeding these parameters. From 1 September, if you continue to show excessive usage patterns, you will experience slower connection speeds (while we manage your bandwidth usage). As soon as your usage patterns stabilise your connection speeds will return to normal.

Now I used 185GB on the 1mb uncapped account in july and usually average more than 100Gb

Why the sudden change?

But they say it's uncapped!? And on their site they clearly say uncapped is unlimited usage.

Thanks alot Mweb

Are you on premium or throttled?

I received the same notification a couple of hours ago, with the exact same threat of 1 September. I've averaged about 130Gb a month over the last six months on my 1Mb uncapped account. I've been a customer of Mweb for the last 13 years and this is how they treat you. All I've really done is download a couple of games off Steam and four DLC's for Borderlands this month and now I'm in trouble!

I got the same thing hey!

Same as Weeswolf. Ive got 3 pcs linked up to steam, so 3 x 10000000gig steam updates. Plus whatever else is also about 100-150 a month, i emailed them and have contacted other ISP's to see what other offerings are available. I specifically asked about this when i signed up with them, and was told that I could never exceed the AUP, even if i tried. Funny story right...

Ive got a trial account at openweb for the weekend already which ill give a run.The 2mg package.

Ill let you guys know how it goes if you like, and obviously ill ask them about AUP/FUP etc and revert back as well.

Just FYI, I've been known to pull in excess of 1TB on my 4mbps Gold account with Openweb with not so much as a peep from them. Normally I average closer to 200-300GB though.

+1 I use 180Gb+ on my 2mb/s line and some months go to 300GB and never heard anything either and this isn't my line's max either :)

Hi all

We would like to address your questions and concerns, which we have been doing via our Uncapped thread.

Please post your questions here http://ow.ly/nKeIV and I'll do my best to respond to each.

Bwaha :D

Shame to all the oaks using MWeb... time to get a real ISP

When I get home I want to check my mweb mail in Outlook... hope I didn't get one.

Don't check your mail more than once a day and you might sneak under their radar. At least it's not like Axxess who throttle you for 36 gigs on a 2Mb line...
