MWEB reduces uncapped ADSL prices

Nice going Mweb. Not too sure if I can wait longer for Afrihost...these new deals are looking mighty tempting.

Would have liked a discount but I certainly can't say I don't get my moneys worth.

Nothing for 4mb users? Guess we have to carry the rest. :(

Carry the rest?
Did you fail maths in school or something?
1024 line is R199
4096 line R539
If you were on exactly the same price as the 1mb line then you would be paying R796 (R199 per mb)
the smaller lines speed users is contributing more towards your line speed
As for that give them a chance I’m sure there will be 4mb and 10mb improvements

why hasn't MWEBs 4mb uncapped pricing changed? it has been the same price for over 2 years now

This is great - thanks MWEB, and then we should get the bump up to 2meg line later on - so we should end up with 2meg line for R199 by end of the year - one only hopes.

You can't really just multiply the 1mb price by 4, it's not accurate. What I said was silly though, I suppose. There are probably way more 384/1024 users than 4096.

I just wouldn't mind paying less, and as others have noted, it's been the same price for a very long time. :o

Great job MWEB!

Unbelievable that the line rental for a 1MB line is 150% more than the cost of the uncapped data!

That price is aggressive for uncapped. This will make them the dominant ISP if the others don't react.

That's good news for me...

Does this indirectly confirm the "unofficial" Telkom speed upgrade's?

“We would like to see 1Mbps uncapped packages become the new entry level product for local Internet users,” said Hershaw.
