So recently I got throttled on my standard 4mb uncapped line, the email they sent said that the internet speed would return to normal when my internet usage stabilizes, but I also heard of some 30 day rolling window, so I just wanted to know if I will be throttled for the next two or three weeks as I was away on vacation and the 2-3 weeks of the past 30 days there was hardly any internet isage, or will the speed return to normal after a week of using less than 300 mb a day?

In the past 30 days where does your 2-3 weeks fit in .
For the previous 30 days they calculate rolling window by adding your download totals for each day . Check your daily usage for December you could try work out from there

I was away from the 1st of december until the 15th, so in that time my dad was at home and he used about 300mb a day, at the moment our usage is 118gb for the 30 days, so will I be throttled until the usage drops below 110gb?

That's correct.

You could always upgrade your account to 6Meg Standard, which gives you 150GBs, and still keep your line at 4Meg.

Or you could do the smart thing and get the hell away from Mweb and move to a better ISP

Best bet for now you probably going to need to wait till the 15th jan to get full speed . Due to your low usage 1-15 dec

If only my dad would, what irritates me the most is that I was never informed of what the limit is on our uncapped (if I can even call it that) and there were no warning messages saying I was reaching the cap.

4 mb premium gives you 400 gig
Yes but the price is much higher, I have no need for such a large cap, our internet usage is almost always far below the cap, it's just in december I had loads of updates and other things to download.

Maybe get a temporary 50 gig capped account. Remember to cancel it so that it don't run next month

Does crystal web have throttling?

The quality of the account depends on how much you pay. All ISPs have accounts that shae and/or throttle, just like all ISPs have accounts that are unshaped and uncapped without FUP.

You can't buy a Ford Figo and then go and say the Ford Mustang is crap.

Pay more and you will get a better service.

So what I'm trying to say is, the MWEB 4Meg standard is one of their cheapest accounts. If you upgrade to 6Meg standard or 4meg premium you will be a lot happier.

And this applies to ALL ISPs. All ISPs have cheap crappy accounts, and ALL ISPs have awesome business accounts.

You can't buy the cheap crappy account and then decide the ISP is crap. That's exactly what you're doing.

Any thread with Mweb will always be treated with disdain, because honestly, there are better options out there, with better service.

But their actual accounts aren't actually bad. International pings always good.

Can't help but compare MWEB's reputation now to the people here, to the reputation French cars have. No matter how good their cars are now, people still don't buy them because of something that happened in the past.
