Hello

I was once a mweb home uncapped 4mbit subscriber and then international news speeds dropped to like 90KB/s after hours and everything started to go rubbish and I moved to openweb and then from openweb to webafrica.

I've found webafrica just fine at the moment but I have found I dont like having a threshold looming over my head, how is mweb these days for the following.

1) Browsing
2) Streaming
3) Http Downloads
4) News (International Paid For Servers)
5) Gaming
6) Steam

Ideally I'd like to be able to try this account and I'd signup for sure if I knew it was great.

I'm in Durban if that makes a difference with *inx

Thanks.

Hi KinZA,

Please PM me your contact details and I'll arrange for a sales consultant to contact you.

MWEB Guy

Fast browsing, just don't exceed 300gig [streaming hi-def, oeps] or you get warning email of abuse then disconnected :( other than that, superior service and fast browsing.

@Mweb Guy - You have a PM Thanks a Lot

@um_ah Thanks for the heads up but it's not a case of sheer amount of data per month its a case of when. I want to be able to download what I want at whatever time I want without worrying about speed issues or a weekly count.

I usually use a download manager via HTTP to saturate my connection

I got a call from mweb shortly after sending Mweb Guy my details, am currently running on the trial and am happy on all counts.

Then you need to pay more for an Openweb GOLD account.

I have experianced openweb gold and I had to change my account about every two weeks because things would go slow and then end up on say altech where news is non existant or IS where everythings average. So far mweb as I experiance it now is superior to openweb gold while being neck and neck with webafrica.

I wont be going back to openweb.

At R 899 each I don't see how the Web Africa deal is even competitive, considering at the same price you can get MWEB uncapped without all the thresholds.

Tested over the weekend and past few days with trial account and can confirm all 6 counts. Sent through my billing details today.

I'm not sure how VPN's and shaping factor in to MWeb but a normal ping to that site is about 210ms

I am also looking at switching from Afrihost 100GB package to Mweb uncapped. Even for a capped account the afrihost speed is really frustrating. Up and down all the time... It's either openweb or mweb...
